Did Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Break Up?!? Answers here…

MTV and other sources are jumping on this article from the National Enquirer which claims that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have broken off their relationship. These other sources are all adding a disclaimer, with Glamour asking, “Who knows what to believe?”

FWIW, I don’t believe they have broken up. Frequent readers will remember that we here at Twilight News Site asserted that they were seeing one another when Kristen flew to Budapest (THE Budapest) to join Rob (who was still filming Bel Ami) on her birthday. Before publishing that post, we received tacit approval from an authoritative source who confirmed that they had been quietly dating for some time.

Earlier this summer, Rob and Kristen were said to have moved into a home that Kristen had recently bought, with their neighbors in the private community only noting that they received daily food deliveries. That sounded a little odd, since Kristen is said to quite an accomplished chef(!), so why the deliveries? The story didn’t make much sense.

And then, Rob recently said, in a quote covered by the same MTV article, “In Los Angeles I started using a delivery service which only delivers fresh and healthy food. In the morning I have a bag with healthy food delivered to me. I’ve never in my life lived as healthy as I do now. Of course I miss homemade food, but I’m on my own or on the go most of the time. And I can’t cook myself. I only just manage to make some toast. I don’t seem to have the genetic endowments for it. I’m incapable [of telling] what tastes good and what doesn’t.”

So the food delivery story checks out, and suggests that they really were living together. Of course, Rob is filming Water for Elephants further north right now. And notice that he said, “I’m on my own… most of the time.”

Plus — less than one month ago — Wyck Godfrey, the Twilight producer, expressed the same concerns that Ashley Greene voiced in a very carefully worded statement years ago, that the problem with them dating was if they broke up, it would be hard to have good chemistry on-screen; so wouldn’t it be for the best if they postponed dating until their filming was finished? Of course, why would Ashley even bring it up, if they were already postponing dating one another?

So here’s what Wyck Godfrey said, as reported by Gossip Cop three weeks before the National Enquirer’s breakup story surfaced:

“Everyone is talking about whatever is going on between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart,” says his interviewer. “Is that good for business?”

“Do you want the honest answer? I haven’t even thought of it that way,” replies Godfrey.

When the interviewer presses, “That’s not the honest answer,” Godfrey responds in strikingly open language.

“It really is. I honestly don’t think of it in terms of business. It doesn’t affect our core business at all. The thing I do think about is, Oh my God, I hope they stay together. Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It’s like, Wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God, I hope they stay together; please stay together. That’s what affects my day-to-day.”

Referring to the publicity questions about their real-life relationship has generated, Godfrey continues, “I don’t feel it’s out there anymore. Do people still report on it? If you look at people who have a stable personal life, the rags get tired of them. I think we’re heading to that place where they are together and that’s their life and we better find someone new to create drama out of.”

So what are the odds that Wyck would say that to Time magazine a few days before they actually broke up?

Zero? That’s just what I thought.

Hang in there, Rob & Kris. Remember to talk about everything. Communication isn’t just part of the relationship; communication IS the relationship. (Without communication, all you have is a sort of tawdry business relationship. *shudders*)

But with the photos and stories of Rob urgently texting on his iPhone 4 between takes on Water for Elephants, taken just a few days ago, I suspect they are communicating very well. Who else on the planet has gone through what they have? No one? (Okay, maybe Taylor would be waiting in the wings just in case… j/k!)

And what’s more, they went through it all together, without attempting to profit from their relationship by covering it in the press (e.g., Xavier’s girlfriend’s recent would-be-press tour.)(Xavier, don’t you still have Ashley’s number? The shoot is over now…).

Although statistically, couples who move in together before marriage are more likely to break up than those who do marry first, my $0.02 worth is: Rob and Kristen are still together. And I say, God bless them.

News X Online: When asked about his preference for women by Now magazine, the 18-year old Twilight star [Taylor Lautner] said, “She’s just this plain girl, which sometimes, I know for me, is attractive…She’s just an average girl, she’s clumsy, but I think she’s good looking, so I don’t know…she just has this thing about her.”

D Business News: The iTunes release of The Summer House, featuring Twilight star Robert Pattinson, has debuted at number one in 4 territories.

Within hours of it hitting the iTunes Movie Store, the film had already topped movie sales charts in the US, Canada, Ireland and Germany, fending off competition from key blockbusters like Avatar and Green Zone.

Guardian: A teenage vampire is not the obvious choice of inspiration for a range of men’s underpants. But Robert Pattinson, or R Patz as the star of The Twilight Saga is known by fans, has been named as the inspiration behind Marks and Spencer’s new slim-fit underwear.

Dubbed the R-Pant, the low-rise briefs and trunks are designed to be worn under skinny jeans and trousers, a look popularised by the likes of Russell Brand and Mark Ronson, two celebrities the chain cites as design influences…

The R-Pant launch is a thinly-veiled marketing strategy designed to appeal to a younger audience and to sex-up its underwear range. “Over the last three years we’ve seen an increase in the popularity of hipsters,” says Richard Beale, head of merchandising. “The new range is designed to appeal to a younger, fashion-savvy customer…”

In recent years footballers have been used to market men’s underwear. Cristiano Ronaldo is the current poster boy for Emporio Armani, a role he inherited from David Beckham. Pattinson’s skinnier aesthetic is a move away from this trend.

Pattinson will not star in an advertising campaign for M&S. But a spokesman said the Twilight actor has been seen shopping for underwear at the store. The new range will go on sale in September.

Vulture: Vulture’s Stupidest Things of Summer: The Photo Album

7. Superhero movie Thor, about the blond Norse god with a big hammer, will be out in theaters in 2011. Based on the image below, you could be forgiven for thinking this is the first superhero franchise Marvel plans on marketing to girls and gays. After all, a similar strategy sure worked for Twilight.

The Province: Kellan Lutz, the ripped member of the Twilight cast, has topped a list compiled by the editors of MensHealth. com to find the star with the perfect beach body. The 25-year-old hunk beat… his Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner to the top spot… Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker was named the woman with the best summer body by Women’sHealthMag.com with Jessica Alba and Ashley Greene, also of Twilight, coming second and third.

Forbes: The 12 Best-Paid Celebs Under 30

Missing from a list that’s primarily populated by top-notch athletes (No. 6 LeBron James) and touring musicians (No. 11 The Jonas Brothers) is Hollywood’s TV and movie star set. The reality: Though hit film franchises like Twilight and Harry Potter have raked in more than $1 billion at the global box office, their stars see only a sliver of those totals. Instead, the estimated sums Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe pulled down–$12 million, $17 million and $25 million, respectively–were not enough to rank among the mid-to-high eight-figure earners on the list.

Many sources including CNN: It’s an experience that “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” star Bryce Dallas Howard is also familiar with; the actress was diagnosed with severe post-partum depression after she gave birth to her first child at the age of 25.

“Before Theo was born, I had been in good humor about my 80-pound weight gain,” the actress said in Paltrow’s newsletter. But after the birth, she said, “I was mortified by it. I felt I was failing at breast-feeding. My house was a mess. I believed I was a terrible dog owner. I was certain I was an awful actress; I dreaded a film I was scheduled to shoot only a few weeks after the birth because I could barely focus enough to read the script. I definitely felt I was a rotten mother–not a bad one, a rotten one. Because the truth was, every time I looked at my son, I wanted to disappear… Do I wish I had never endured post-partum depression? Absolutely,” Dallas Howard said. “But to deny the experience is to deny who I am. I still mourn the loss of what could have been, but I also feel deep gratitude for those who stood by me, for the lesson that we must never be afraid to ask for help, and for the feeling of summer that still remains…”

“The most important steps a woman can take,” Dr. Binder-Bynes said, “…is to not be isolated; try to find a supportive network; ask for help from partner or friends and family when feeling overwhelmed.”

Accidental Sexiness: Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke seems to have a knack for the fantasy genre. In this film, her first since Twilight, she’s directing an ensemble cast which includes: Amanda Seyfield, Gary Oldman, Michael Shanks, Lukas Haas, Virginia Madsen, Julie Christie and even one of her Twilight comrades, Billy Burke.

The lead role of Little Red is played by Amanda and her leading man is newcomer Shiloh Fernandez. According to IMDB, Red Riding Hood is:

Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family’s displeasure.

OK! UK: The lovely Robert Pattinson was among a list of hot new names announced by Fox yesterday as additions to the Teen Choice Awards guest list. Sandra Bullock, Leighton Meester and Ashley Green will join the Twilight Eclipse star at the star-studded event on August 8… Kooky songstress Katy Perry will host the celeb event at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. The Twilight Saga: New Moon cast tops the list with nine nominations, followed by Glee and Justin Bieber who’ve also nabbed multiple nods.

Vulture: The star of MTV’s upcoming Teen Wolf series, a darker take on the Michael J. Fox movie, will be Tyler Posey. And while it is tempting to make a joke about the lengths people will go to cash in on the Twilight trend, please don’t do it around him, as the T-word may still be a sore subject: Posey was the second choice for Jacob, and lost out to Taylor Lautner. (In fact, when the Twilight book was first optioned, Stephenie Meyer even blogged that Posey would be great for the role.)

Teen Daily: Twilight star Boo Boo Stewart is taking on another big movie role in the new movie ” Logan ” the film is Boo Boo will be playing the character Ben and will also be a producer for the movie as well. The Twilight star recently finished filming for the movie. The movie is set to release september 2010.

Games.com: Zynga updated Cafe World with items from the vampire movie, Twilight. The items that were added are kind of similar to the ones that are usually released on Halloween. They also include decorations like the Twinkling Vampire (Edward) and Transforming Werewolf (Jacob). PetVille players are also expecting a coming soon Twilight theme.

[I prefer the original Twilight theming at Virtual Family Kingdom, where you can turn into a wolf with twilight magic, added years before the first film came out.]

SWVA Today: Last month, the third film in the Twilight Saga series came to theaters. To date, the hugely popular films have grossed over $1 billion in worldwide receipts. Based on novels by Stephenie Meyer, the dramas portray interactions between humans and vampires. However, there are both good and bad vampires.

“My family, we’re different from others of our kind. We only drink animal blood,” Edward Cullen [says in] Twilight…

“Take and eat, this is my body…drink it, this is my blood.” What did he mean? Jesus was saying something that we all feel intuitively. Relationships, whether romantic or religious, which are deep and meaningful, are about life and death. They are not casual. To love someone genuinely is to become a part of that person’s life and for that person to become a part of you. When the church gathers for communion, the church both receives the body of Christ and becomes the body of Christ. It is intimacy. Jesus and vampires have nothing in common. There is a vast difference between someone who takes a life and someone who gives his life. Still, the attraction to vampires and blood means something. While we rarely practice it, somehow we know that to love someone genuinely is to share his or her life intimately, and that is no joke.

Celebrity Cafe: Zack Snyder’s upcoming action-fantasy film, Sucker Punch, features an ensemble cast of young actresses, including Emily Browning… who is perhaps best known as the actress who turned down Stephanie Meyer’s offer to portray the role of Bella in the ever-popular Twilight Saga, plays Baby Doll in Sucker Punch.

Variety: In semi-square Toronto, 22-year-old indie rocker Scott (Cera) is dating high school girl Knives Chau (Ellen Wong) when he spies the hipster chick of his dreams, fuchsia-haired Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But before the two can sail off into the sunset, he’ll have to cut things off with Knives and defeat Ramona’s seven “evil exes” (a motley bunch of former beaus, ranging from superstud Chris Evans to a weaselly Jason Schwartzman) in a series of “Mortal Kombat”-style death matches — not so simple for a slacker with the spine of a dandelion…

Still, “Scott Pilgrim” is a feat of economical storytelling, rendered in the vernacular of small talk and text messages. For a young man with no job and limited ambition, Scott leads an unusually drama-filled life, and Wright innovatively uses split screens, sleight-of-hand editing and onscreen narration to help cover considerable ground in limited time, while leaving room for half a dozen big action setpieces. As ensembles go, the pic packs one of the most crowded lineups in teen-movie memory, with Scott fending off input from his sister (Anna Kendrick), gay roommate (Kieran Culkin), fellow band members (Mark Webber, Alison Pill and Johnny Simmons) and his own league of exes (most notably Brie Larson, as the girl who “kicked his heart in the ass”).

Scott may not seem worthy of either Ramona or all the attention their relationship attracts, but Wright invests the world with an infectious energy that’s hard to resist, even if the whole affair makes “Twilight” …seem profound by comparison. Watching “Scott Pilgrim” is the cinematic equivalent of dating a high school student, as the film depicts a world in which boredom is the gravest possible offense. But there are different kinds of boredom, and Wright’s whimsical flourishes (reminiscent of Robert Rodriguez’s “Sin City” adaptation) can’t trump the ennui that accompanies a story whose life experience cuts off at drinking age.

Des Moines Register: Bernhardt sees patients 36 hours per week and spends another four hours per week on administrative work and attending meetings. However, if I know far enough in advance, I can block off time in the middle of the day to go to my kids’ school programs or take them to the dentist,” she says. “We just took an afternoon off recently so the staff and I could have a ‘Twilight’ movie marathon at my house before we went to the midnight showing of ‘Eclipse.’ I love being able to make time for things that are important to me, my family and friends.”

Moviematics: Ever wonder what the greatest on screen love triangle is? This age old question has finally been answered by Lovefilm (or at least by users of the UK DVD rental giant’s website) and to the surprise of many it’s the love between a vampire a human and a werewolf that has hit the top spot.
If you haven’t already guessed it – and, if you haven’t, where have you been for the last few years? come on, speak up, you at the back – the film I’m talking about is Twilight.

The film’s leading protagonists Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) have captured the imagination of millions across the world.

The third in the series, Twilight Eclipse, opened in cinemas recently to scenes of fans camping over night and queuing around the block to be among the first to see how the love triangle pans out.

Although it might not have be the critics favourite choice it has been widely quoted that Twilight fans are among the most devoted fans in the film world. This accolade has help Twilight top a number of different polls and fan votes in the last few years.
