People.com has a new article on Chris Weitz and what he’s looking forward to seeing in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!
Chris Weitz, who directed New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight series, says he has read the script for this summer’s third installment, Eclipse – and that one scene in particular is a scorcher.
“I’m looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say,” Weitz tells PEOPLE. “That’s going to be very steamy.”

MTV News interviewed director Chris Weitz recently in honor of the New Moon DVD release on March 20. Chris reveals five thing we didn’t know about New Moon.
Going for the Gold: In “Twilight,” RPattz and the rest of his vegetarian vampire cohorts have gold-colored eyes as a result of abstaining from consuming human blood. For “New Moon,” the vamps’ eyes were clearly more golden. Why’d Weitz have his actors switch to brighter contact lenses?
“It’s a more noticeable gold,” Weitz said. “I thought that in the first film they hadn’t popped quite enough and I wanted to have that sense of otherworldliness carry through more.”
The Silent Vampire: Actress Rachelle Lefevre was notoriously replaced in her role as the vampire Victoria following “New Moon,” with Bryce Dallas Howard taking over the part for “Eclipse.” In “New Moon,” Lefevre is seen but does not speak. Is there a connection between her lack of lines and what happened with the casting decision?
“It wasn’t so much that,” Weitz said. “There was a dialogue scene with her, and eventually that will show up whenever they release deleted scenes. It was one of those scenes that, when you look back at it, it’s kind of a surplus to the whole storytelling requirement of the movie. So there was no ill intent there. I wrote Rachelle and explained why that scene didn’t end up in the film, and in terms of filmmaking I can’t regret it, although I do regret it very much if it hurt Rachelle’s feelings.”
Why So Torn Up, Edward?: At one point in the film, Pattinson’s Edward Cullen appears in a ripped T-shirt, but we never learn why. So … what the heck happened?
“What it’s supposed to be is that he’s essentially been wearing the same clothes for several months, and that eventually they’ve just worn out because, as you I’m sure know, his body is like stone. So he must’ve rubbed up against something and it ripped,” Weitz said.
Our Lord?: In its Italian-set portions, “New Moon” features a significant amount of religious iconography, and Edward certainly suffers a great deal. Is he supposed to be a Christ figure?
“I think that he is in a sense he’s doomed to suffer eternally,” Weitz said. “He actually thinks of himself as a damned figure, but he’s wrong about that. So in some senses, yeah, he is a martyr figure.”
Black Eyes: In Stephenie Meyer’s book, Edward’s eyes go black in Italy. Why don’t his eyes turn in the film?
“It’s because I screwed up!” Weitz admitted.
Really? He just forgot?
“Well, yeah, I kinda did,” he said. “Well, there are two reasons. One is that I messed up. The other reason is that I actually thought that onscreen it would be quite bizarre to see his eyes go completely black, and that it would be more satisfying and less jarring to have that moment of reunion be a reunion with revivified Edward. But probably, the long and the short of it, there are many details that I did not drop the ball on, and there are some that I did.”

Frosty from Collider interviewed Chris Weitz on the making of the New Moon DVD. Now Frosty had a different perspective from most in that he was able to get some early info from Chris back at Comic Con. Check out the interview, it shows how things evolve over time.
“With The Twilight Saga: New Moon hitting DVD and Blu-ray on March 20, I was able to talk with director Chris Weitz about the upcoming release. When the film was getting ready to hit theaters, I asked Chris Weitz about the eventual DVD release and he told me to expect a commentary from Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and about ten minutes of deleted scenes. So when I got the specs of the DVD/Blu-ray and saw there was no commentary and no deleted scenes, I knew this would be the main topic of conversation. Also, I asked everyone on Twitter to send me questions and a ton of you asked me about the deleted scenes and commentary.
The way Weitz described it to me, the reason you’re not going to be able to hear Kristen, Rob and Taylor is due to time. When they were recording the commentary, for whatever reason, they couldn’t fit it into the schedule. I know it sucks for fans that were looking forward to it…but the DVD is due around the time the movie is getting released and that last month is very rough on everyone.”

We tend to hear a lot about the outreach of Twilight fans in the USA and Canada. Well, helping others knows no geographic boundaries as these Indonesian Twilighters wrote in to tell us.
“Twihards just wanna share with you. I’m one of Twimoms (remember the Rob cookies?) and few members of Indonesian twilighters/Twilight Nusantara (http://twitter.Twilight_Nusa) went to foster home for toddler called Tunas Bangsa. This is one of our twilight agendas besides gathering & any other our twi-related activities. We’ve managed to donate some money and brought needs for them such as: milk, baby clothes, blanket, toys, pampers. The orphans consist of 60 toddlers from newborn to 5 years old. The orphanage has 3 separate rooms for: newborn, baby & toddler. I can’t tell how the kids were so excited when they got all these toys & goody bags. Hopefully, our little help can brighter their days & make them smile. We should be thankful for our life coz not everybody have a home like us or our kids

Pel writing here. I have to say I never thought I’d be writing a title like the above. Anyway, after I came home from going out to dinner last night I find all these tweets about Alphie (Lori) singing Summer Nights from Grease with Mike Welch. My first thought was “surely I read that wrong” and my second thought was “tell me there is video, this I have to see.” So, Lori is probably going to kill me for doing this, but she’s in Atlanta and I’m a thousand miles away so what the heck 
So apparently Creation Entertainment responded to fan request and now Karaoke With the Stars is part of their programming at a variety of their Conventions.

Several Twilight actors were spotted in several events this week as Hollywood gears up for the Academy Awards this Sunday.
Rachelle Lefevre was seen attending the 25th Independent Spirit Awards last Friday. As we have posted before, she has also attended the Annual Women in Hollywood Party.
Booboo Stewart was seen this week stepping out at the gifting suites in Los Angeles. He was seen attending the Suite Relief Pre-Oscar Gifting Suite hosted by Silver Spoon held at the Interior Illusion and at the Eco Oscars Lounge gift give away event.
Anna Kendrick on the other hand was seen attending the Louis Vuitton and Glamour Party to celebrate the “Most Glamorous” issue held at Beverly Hills. She also attended the Art of Elysium “Pieces of Heaven” presented by Vanity Fair and BMW.
